Turn-by-turn directions

Start at Rathaus Wünschendorf - turn right into Bahnhofstraße, straight ahead - cross Brunnenstraße - 200 m on Südstraße - at the railway crossing turn left - after 100 m turn right into Fuchstalstraße and go straight for 200 m - at the end of Fuchstalstraße turn left onto Wiesenweg and 300 m along the path follow - pass the forest road - 400 m to the forest path crossing at the Schlüsselberg (318 m above sea level) - turn right - 1.7 km to the junction Kamnitzgrund - further over the lookout points Geyerstein (292 m above sea level), Hirschensprung and Fuchsbachtalblick - to 50 m turn right into the Fuchsbachtal - turn right in the valley - 1 km to the rest area "Fuchsbachmünd" - turn left and after the railway bridge turn right - 100 m on the valley path - then left in Hohlweg - 300 m straight uphill to the Teufelskanzel junction - turn left here –150 m turn right onto the forest path path until it meets the ravine - turn left, walk 200 m to the “Weiberstein” viewpoint (318 m above sea level) - reach after 700 m en we Großdraxdorf - turn right - 1 km downhill to Talweg (216 m above sea level) NN) - then after 100 m on Talweg and turn left into "Zehnmarkweg" - 1.6 km along Zehnmarkweg - keep left - 200 m on Talweg - turn left at the pipe bridge - 500 m steeply uphill to the Großdraxdorfer Bastei junction - right turn - go through the small brook bottom - on the right forest path 500 m straight to the lookout point Großdraxdorfer Bastei - 300 m back on the same path - turn right - 1.1 km to the turning point "Wernsdorfer Höhe" (328 m above sea level) - turn right on the field path - 800 m to the next forest path crossing, then turn left - walk 200 m on the forest path to the junction at the small pond - turn left over Dammkrone and after 50 m turn right onto Reitsteig - walk 1.1 km on Reitsteig - at the rest hut "Oberhammer" ( 224 m above sea level) turn left - 500 m uphill to the Albersdorf reservoir - turn right after the stairs - 200 m on the top of the dam - turn left - 700 m to the "Stausee Albersdorf" car park (320 m above sea level) - turn right after 200 m - after 1 , 1 km, walking past the Steinkreuz, you reach Elsterstraße - turning slightly left you come after 150 m to the stage destination, the Berga fire place.

Hikers can travel by train to Greiz or Wünschendorf, and continue by bus to the starting point.
