The trail leads once around the Meiler area. It can be assigned to the blue category and is easy to drive on. The Meilerimbiss and the restaurant in the Hotel Tannehaus are right next to the cross-country ski run.
Author’s recommendation
Travel comfortably by train. Most children love to travel by train and so the excursion starts exciting. Lockers and changing rooms are available directly at the stop and the ski rental is also available on site. Inexpensive parking in the modern multi-storey car park only approx. 150 m from the cross-country ski trail access.

Turn-by-turn directions
The family trail is completely signposted. It starts at the roundabout. leads in the direction of "Hotel Tannenhaus" and further past the Meiler ponds and the snack bar "Meilerhütte". Here you have already made it halfway and can take a first break. The trail then continues to the left and back to the starting point at the roundabout.

Take the Vogtlandbahn to the IFA Ferienpark stop. There is a hiking and trail house in which there are changing rooms, sprinting, showers and toilets. The entrance to the cross-country ski trail is approx. 200 m to the left of the stop.With the bus line 90 from Oelsnitz, Plauen, line 93 from Bad Elster or line 22 from Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, you can use the stop at the IFA holiday park and go straight to the cross-country ski trail get in.
Getting there
In Schöneck, follow the signs to Parkhaus, Skiwelt, IFA Ferienpark. Shortly before the roundabout you will see the trail entrance on the left. Park comfortably in the multi-storey car park and the ski tour can begin.Parking
