Markneukirchen

At the heart of the music region.

With a history of more than 350 years, the music town of Markneukirchen can look back on a very special tradition amidst the greenery of the Upper Vogtland. Already during Mozart’s time, the numerous local workshops were making the full spectrum of orchestral instruments. This is no different today: string, plucked, wood and brass instruments in a myriad of variations are manufactured here for musicians and orchestras around the world. Many of the craftsmen like having people watching them while working. Markneukirchen can boast that its products are used all over and by many. As a result, music can be heard at all times of the year in this city with its pretty burgher houses – at concerts, musical evenings or small performances. So listen up when in Markneukirchen – it’s worth it!
