The small town with big-city flair.
The green neighbourhoods of Dorfstadt, Oberlauterbach, Schönau and Trieb constitute the “front garden” of Falkenstein, whose townscape is characterized by late 19th century architecture. Many residential quarters, as well as city hall and the Church of the Holy Cross were built at the beginning of the 20th century, and contribute to the uniqueness of Falkenstein.
With its extensive parks and a vibrant town centre, guests to Falkenstein have many entertainment and relaxation options to choose from in the heart of the Vogtland. During the summer, the reservoir is a popular destination, and the town’s festivals and events over the year attract many visitors to Falkenstein.
