An entertaining stroll through the history of musical instrument making – even beyond the Vogtland.
The late baroque Paulus Castle was built in 1784. Since 1883, it has been home to Markneukirchen’s musical instrument making museum. The museum’s extensive and diverse collection includes more than 3100 musical instruments from around the world. Many unique models or rare treasures are on display, as well as many oddities, such as a giant piano accordion or a tuba with an oversized bell.
The museum also hosts regular concerts and events that relate to musical instrument making.
