Nitschareuth Farm Museum

This is how the Vogtland’s farmers lived and worked during 18th and 19th centuries.

The farm museum in Nitschareuth was established in 1986 and depicts the rural life of the peasants during the 18th and 19th centuries. Tools, clothing, linens, furnishings and household items document the daily life of the Vogtland’s peasants at the time. The old stone oven even gets fired up for special occasions.

Until 1982, the pretty three-sided farmyard was used for agriculture. Moreover, more than 80 kinds of medicinal and culinary herbs, vegetable plots and an orchard can be found in the garden of the museum.
