The cultural and festival city with a longstanding spa tradition.
Saxony’s most traditional state spa is one of Germany’s oldest moor mud and mineral spas. Furthermore, Bad Elster has made a name for itself as a “chursächsische” cultural and festival city. The late 19th century and Jugendstil architecture give the city with its 140 year old historical spa gardens its character. Numerous events of different genres offer a rich cultural life at all times of the year, which can be combined perfectly with all the wellness Bad Elster has to offer.
The motto here is “royal pleasure,” since Saxony’s kings already appreciated the healing powers of the ten mineral springs and moors in the regions.
