Unwind in the Middle of Nature

Camping & Water

Paradise for Campers

VOGTLAND – Verliebt in den Urlaub?
Video: Tourismusverband Vogtland e.V.
Alone, as a couple, with friends or the whole family – everyone enjoys their holiday in the middle of nature when camping. The Vogtland is great at any time of the day or night:  under the night sky with a glass of wine or during the day while hiking through the woods or along the lakes and reservoirs in the region.

It’s no big deal if the backpacking trip takes a little bit longer, since the next campground is just around the corner…

Pöhl Reservoir

Water sports enthusiasts, hikers, cyclists and nature lovers love the Pöhl reservoir and its surroundings. Sailors take advantage of the fresh breeze and day trippers take in the “Pöhler Meer” from the sundeck of the passenger ships.

The surrounding distinctive nature of the “Vogtländische Schweiz” is perfect for hiking, cycling and hanging out – in almost every season.

Zeulenrodaer Sea

The “Zeulenrodaer Meer” is a popular destination for hikers and “water rats”.

The dam wall of the Zeulenroda reservoir is 307m high, and attracts water sports enthusiasts and swimmers during the warm season. There are several beaches for the day trippers to choose from, and for those who want to have an extended visit, the bungalow village of Zadelsdorf or the Bio-Seehotel Zeulenroda offer accommodation. Moreover, the Zeulenrodaer Meer is situation on the Talsperrenweg – a circular trail that takes you through dense woods, expansive meadows and through the Weida valley.

The trail around the Riedelmühle auxiliary dam is barrier-free, thereby also suitable for wheelchairs or baby carriages.
